Come on, give me the chills

Thoughts about changing, life, and whatever comes to mind.

  • accepting age

Why do we feel old? Is that because we need to forcefully do things we did in the young years?

I dunno, I know many people who sometimes feel old and label their actions based on the fancyness or on the oldness of the action, but I’m not sure if there is such a thing like an action that’s older to do.

You do it and that’s it. You don’t judge the action itself.
If you feel sleepy and want to sleep, why would you consider it something an old man would do?
yes, they certainly do that, but does doing that makes you an old man? Not so sure.

Our actions are just actions, doesn’t matter which age we do them.

  • your pace

What is your pace? Do you go too fast, too slow? So and so?

Your pace is defined by how much pressure you can sustain, it’s like “risk tolerance” but for life speed.
It defines how much time you take to think through something, how fast or slow your decisions are.
That is your pace. Something that is inherently you, that partly defines who you are.

    Can you change it? Yes.

Is it worth changing? It depends.
We often think that we should always change, to become better.
But to define what better is we must first understand what are our qualities, what makes you strong.

The pace you live your life could be only a characteristic that defines you, not a limit. It’s a way to express. Look at it through these lenses, and evaluate if that is worth changing or no.

One thing is the pace, another thing is reactivity. Don’t confuse them.

  • august 2016 monthly checkup

August was indeed a good month. Me and my gf stopped for a moment the never-ending search for a house, and with that we also gained some relax.

I was almost perfectly consistent in writing, missing maybe only couple of days, and, best of all, a dear friend of mine got married and his wedding was mind-blowing. Fantastic.

Regarding the posts I wrote, here there are some I liked

Writing this recap made me realize that there was also a sad news about my product being copied, I did totally forget.
It’s still unimportant, but I can feel the worry lingering there, in the dark, waiting to come outside.

It will be a great journey for learning.

  • when did the rain started bothering us?

Maybe in the past rain was a bad thing.
You didn’t have a warm house, you didn’t have a shelter, you didn’t have a way to warm you up.

But now? When it’s raining we feel like we experience half of the beauty of a day, it changes our moods, but in fact it’s just some water.

We can wash our clothes, change them, do a hot shower and everything will be reset.

When they say “Learn to love dancing in the rain” it’s that.
Raining is only a weather and we can start loving it because water is beautiful.

Yes, the sun is pleasant and probably has more beauty in it. But we shouldn’t be worried about rain.
We should dance in it, love in it, play in it.

  • anger and your heartbeat

I bought a mi band 2, it’s a nifty little smartband that does a few things like measuring your heartbeat, steps and so on.

So I did wonder: How does my heartbeat change when I’m angry?

    Result: It doesn’t.

I did have like 67 bpm when I was angry.
Truth to be told I wasn’t super angry, but I was sure upset.

It’s obvious that if I was super angry and I was shouting maybe the heartbeat count would’ve been higher, but in this special case it wasn’t and I realized one thing.

    That anger doesn’t exist.
It only exists emotionally, you get your stomach upside down, but aside from that, your body isn’t aware of it.
You feel the tension, but it doesn’t get to your heart, and that’s quite a thing to consider.

That energy is useless and nonexistent. It doesn’t show, nor it does help, that kind of anger has no positive value.
