  • should you fail?

There are times when you feel like it’s better to fail, to surrender to the odds.

    Resist.

  • new study finds something that might be true

Have you ever thought about how many studies out there claim that there might be correlation between Y and Z ?

I do and it scares me. Yes, there may be correlation, but we shouldn’t fantasize. We as humans are the founders of the scientific method yet we see this kind of generic statement all the time.

These are news that are easy to get a grip on the public audience. They often reveal unheard correlation that might imply great results or benefits, like the correlation between drinkin tea and losing weight.

But if there’s no scientific protocol what should we do?

If it does relate to something you can experience every day, like dieting energy and so on , then listen for your body and your mind, keep the attention high for new signals. there’s no better way to learn than to listen to yourself.

Regarding more bigger themes or implications, like social, economical, genetic, etc my guess is that it’s better to wait and document while asking for more information.

In the Internet we use to say “don’t feed the troll”, well… I guess we could also say “don’t feed the news”

  • to get more energy you have to do less

I’ve recently moved onto a part-time job. This requires me to do the same amount of work in 2/third of the time.

No big deal, right? In fact I was sloppy and learned that I needed to better focus my energy.

Together with this, there are many things I realized and discovered through dieting and meditating.

For example: if you are sick, eating will use energy that would have been used to cure yourself.
The act of digesting requires lots of work for your body, so you should threat it accordingly.

That’s why it often happens to be sleepy after eating a lot. Your body can’t handle that.

The same applies for doing. You have to do less to achieve more.
    Sounds counterintuitive, but it works.

  • are we all numbers?

I just read a sad news about one of my relatives. He’s being transferred from a big company to a different one, after 35 years of working there.

This can happen when you’re only a number. This is why big companies sometimes fail, because they grow to much and don’t know how to handle that number of people.

Often, though, changes like this are inevitable and are taken from people who won’t suffer damage for such decision.
This is why I don’t like the big company model and I fear how its super-controlled work might affect the people working there.

I, too, am working in a company that’s growing so much, but we are still small.
Yet there is the feeling for such controlled behavior, for a company that’s 100% under control.

Good or bad? I can’t say. What I can say is my personal opinion about how too much control limits creativity. This is one thing I firmly believe.
Structure is made to control the behavior of people, to protect them from damaging. It’s a good thing, but too much structure means that you will lose creativity, you will lose freedom and in the end you’ll end up in the same situation as the big company are right now.
